This Is My Story (J. Greenwald) In a sleepy little town not far from here Where the curfew siren sounds every night at half-past ten There are many things I’ve said and so many more I’ve done Sometimes things just come out wrong Ooooh, this is my story, this is my story I left home to go to school to make something of myself I studied hard but made too much mischief with my friends That college town is littered now with regrets from here to kingdom come Sometimes things just come out wrong Ooooh, this is my story, this is my story I went to work where the motors run, In that Midwest rusty town I feel that I’m not done, I wonder what it’s all for This is my story
2.
I Would Give Anything (J. Greenwald) I would give anything, to make you laugh again I would give anything, to see you smile I would give anything, to unlock that door again I would give anything, to stay with you a while Couldn’t see it coming, Couldn’t know it’s true Couldn’t trust tomorrow, How could you? I would give anything, to be the fool again I would give anything, to melt your blues I would give anything, to fix your troubles I would give anything, to pick up the clues I Would Give Anything How Could You?

(DebbieDoodleBugs) Like A Dove (J. Greenwald) Somewhere there’s a tear with my name on it, You didn’t let anybody know Somewhere there’s a pain with my name on it, Like a flower, takes time to grow Somewhere there’s a soul with my name on it, It didn’t have time to let you know Somewhere there’s guilt with my name on it, It will never be the same at all I reach to the sky and grab nothing but air I scream to the heaven above I reach to the sky, it’s just not fair You left us like a dove Somewhere there’s a heart with my name on it, It’s bleeding more than you know Somewhere there’s grave with my name on it, Pushing the daisies just watch them grow Somewhere there’s a grace with my name on it, There’s so many things you didn’t know Somewhere there’s guilt with my name on it, I want to trade places don’t say no

Saw You This Mourning (Remember You) (J. Greenwald / B. Loomis) I saw you this mourning I saw you this mourning I saw my Mother, saw my Father, saw my Sister, saw my Brother Saw the mourning, saw the evening, saw the sadness, saw bereaving I saw you this mourning (I’ll always remember you) I saw you this mourning (I’ll always remember you) That time we drove from sun to shore, I can’t cherish those conversations more We took a challenge to St. Ignace and back, oh I love that walk up on the Mighty Mac.
5.
Things I Couldn’t Say (J. Greenwald) Well there are things I couldn’t say, And are things I wouldn’t do And there were times I couldn’t play, And there were times without you It never was your fault, I’ll always rue the day It was me who wasn’t true, There were things I wouldn’t say It never was your fault, I’ll always drift astray It was me who wasn’t true, There were things I couldn’t say Well there were hills I couldn’t climb, And steps I wouldn’t take And there were many rainy days, And the love we didn’t make Well there were times that flew on by, Wasting with nothing to say And there were no goodbyes, Only times only times I wouldn’t stay And emotions ran high, For little things we couldn’t stand And our love would never die, When we’re walking hand in hand Well there were times that flew on by, Wasting with nothing to say There were no, no goodbyes, There were things I couldn’t say

Just Live Your Life (J. Greenwald / B. Loomis) They say the end of the road, is often where you find it Down that dark dirt lane, somewhere just beyond rock bottom I was so far from home, And I felt time was running out and this Wasn’t the plans I made, Oh it never stops calling In the light of the stained-glass windows, I was broken and empty Father Jim spoke of hope, Lord knows I need a new beginning He said "be thankful" He said "spread some joy" He said "Love Jesus, just live your life" They say every end is a start, I’m ready to play a new song Suddenly I was under the spotlight, I swear he’s spoke to me alone As he read the words on my heart, I couldn’t help but hum along I knew it was gonna be alright, It was time to head back home In the light of the stained-glass windows, I was broken and empty Father Jim spoke of hope, Lord knows I need a new beginning
7.
Eli Frye 04:32
Eli Frye (J. Greenwald / B. Loomis) They say that looks aren’t everything, Eli had me counting my blessings Seems like he never even tried If laughter is the best medicine he had never filled the prescription He always had that weird look in his eyes Eli, Eli Frye, Oh my Lord you were right, Eli, Eli Frye, You were a wise old man, but a funny looking guy Some people win with personality, and for others it’s talent you can’t teach Eli wasn’t a winning kind of guy Some advice comes from unusual places, I tried but he wasn’t good with graces I wish I knew then he was right Eli, Eli Frye, Oh my Lord you were right, Eli, Eli Frye, You were a wise old man, but a funny looking… Time flies, It’s clear now I see, Eli knew way more than me, Don’t judge a book by the spinach in his teeth When I left I never followed up with him, I still think about him every now and then I wish that I could go back and do it right But now I know just what it was he meant, those vacant eyes hid the message he sent I wish I could talk with him one more time Eli, Eli Frye, Oh my Lord you were right, Eli, what a sight, You were a wise old man, but I didn’t treat you right
8.
I’m Missing You (J. Greenwald / B. Loomis) I never heard you call my name. Because I wouldn’t hear, I didn’t care, I wasn’t aware, I had no shame I didn’t even take your call. I just wasn’t there, couldn’t bear, it wasn’t about you at all Ooo, ooo, ooo, Oh I’m Missing You Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo when you raised your voice you were crying out I couldn’t find compassion, I was lost in my reaction too proud I wasn’t there when you needed me, I didn’t try to ignore it, but I couldn’t see the forest for the trees You called me on the telephone yesterday You needed me I should have seen it right away I’ve been a dying man digging my own grave
9.
Someone Else’s Car (J. Greenwald) Then I saw you standing in the hallway Then I saw you showing me what you got Then I saw you walking quickly my way Then I saw you heading for the parking lot But now, it’s coming together And now it’s getting better And now it doesn’t matter - At all! Then I saw you hopping in your Beamer Then I saw you heading down the JTB Then I saw you driving to the Ragtime bar Then I saw you getting out of your car Then I saw you dancing in that Ragtime bar Then I saw you going just a little too far Then I saw you leave in someone else’s car
10.
Ship Has Sailed (E. Santarelli / B. Loomis / J. Greenwald) We passed by the place you used to live, always alone, it’s just what you did There’s a new house going up on your block, not for a second would the world think to stop I talked to that girl you met at the bar, she didn’t know and asked how you are I couldn’t tell her so I just said you were away with friends, She told me to tell you hi when I saw you again. I hope you’re happy wherever you are, with a fish on the line and always putting for par With a song you like on the radio, I remember how you used to say ‘there’s always tomorrow’. Now there ain’t I thought I saw you pass by today, I wasn’t sure but I waved anyway I visited a few of your old haunts, you never measured fun by what it cost But the beauty of that place continues to shine, today the world seems a little less kind I hope you’re happy wherever you are, with a fish on the line and always putting for par with a song you like on the radio, I remember how you used to say ‘there’s always tomorrow’. Now there ain’t When the wind dies down and the lake goes flat, reminds me you liked it like that The birds singing a sweet summer song, your ship has sailed it's heading for home you're headed for home

Transcendence (J. Greenwald) People tell me that it doesn’t have to end here On the corner of 3rd avenue and what seems like nowhere Cemented in the staleness of the big city air We have eyes but cannot see and write songs we cannot hear and hearts that can’t conceive and yearning for – Transcendence, Transcendence These clean white pages are burning crimson red Our lips are speaking but our soul is never fed With distant sunsets hidden in our heads Songs are just some words set to music With a melody and a message for us all We keep scrolling for that perfect ending Quietly waiting for your call
